I am a 21-year-old college student. In spring of 2011 I found myself at the largest I have ever been: 5'3" and 165 lbs. At that moment I decided to start making changes.

TO DO: decrease my portions, eat better quality food, stay active

NEVER: deprive myself of enjoying life, lose weight in an unhealthy way

Just got back from St. Petersburg…

I think I was the fattest person under 30 in the entire city. Not even kidding. What are they doing?! The food is so high fat and delicious, yet nearly every young girl is a size 0-2. What the heck.

I was kind of slacking, but now I am so motivated. Now that I feel like a whale. My goodness.

Thursday

I was pretty active today. I worked extra hours and was running up and down the hill on errands and around the office all day. It didn’t seem like exercise but I’m exhausted!

I ate a lot of protein today, relatively speaking, which is good.

What I ate:

  • 1/2 Chewy peanut butter chocolate chip granola bar
  • handful of blueberry craisins
  • Russel Stover mint and dark chocolate candy (like a small York peppermint patty)
  • Salad with spinach, tomatoes, strawberries, and a tiny bit of shredded mozzarella
  • about 1/2 cup mixed almonds and cashews
  • garlic broccoli
  • salad with romaine lettuce, tomato, onion, and mustard
  • bowl of vegetable soup
  • butterscotch candy
  • 8oz soymilk- original

Wednesday

  • 1/2 Chewy peanut butter chocolate chip granola bar
  • handful of blueberry craisins
  • Apple Jacks
  • Baked potato with veggies and mustard
  • Salad with romaine lettuce, onion, tomato, cucumber, mushrooms, apple cider vinegar, salt, pepper
  • Cheerios
  • handful of raw almonds
  • one Polish dill pickle spear

Tuesday

  • handful of blueberry craisins
  • handful of raw almonds
  • bowl of Apple Jacks
  • Salad with spinach, walnuts, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, chick peas, raspberry vinaigrette
  • more Apple Jacks

Monday

  • Apple Jacks
  • big pile of boiled baby carrots
  • handful of raw almonds
  • a few dried apricots
  • salad with romaine and spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, pickles, and salsa
  • nature valley oats and honey granola bar
