Savoring Health

I am a 21-year-old college student. In spring of 2011 I found myself at the largest I have ever been: 5'3" and 165 lbs. At that moment I decided to start making changes.

TO DO: decrease my portions, eat better quality food, stay active

NEVER: deprive myself of enjoying life, lose weight in an unhealthy way

SW: 165

Intake from yesterday (that I just awkwardly posted on my regular blog by accident)

I haven’t done my intake in forever, and I’m too lazy to go back and do those few days now, so… sorry. I’ll do better.

Yesterday I was working on broadcasting, so I just stole food from the caf for the day and had soup when I got back. I didn’t even eat everything I brought. I kept asking myself, “do I need to eat yet/more?” and it was usually a no. more on that later…

  • Brunch: full bag of strawberries (92), 1/2 biscuit (110)
  • Snack: apple (80)
  • Dinner: chicken noodle soup (200)

Total: 482

Super low… but I’m sure it will be balanced out by other days.

Today I am pretty proud of my healthy brunch, and we’re ordering Chinese for dinner but mine will be steamed. I just have to resist that rice! I might have a snack before dinner too…
