Savoring Health

I am a 21-year-old college student. In spring of 2011 I found myself at the largest I have ever been: 5'3" and 165 lbs. At that moment I decided to start making changes.

TO DO: decrease my portions, eat better quality food, stay active

NEVER: deprive myself of enjoying life, lose weight in an unhealthy way

SW: 165
CW: 125
GW1: 153
GW2: 145
GW3: 135
UGW: 115
Starting size: US size 10
Current size: US size 4-6

Intake for Sunday

  • Brunch: Tomato bisque soup (93), Toast (35), Strawberries (92) the toast is only 35 because I made wheat toast with butter but only ate about a fourth of it because I was full… there is no magic 35kcal toast! lol
  • Snack: organic trail mix granola bar (130)
  • Dinner part 1: Hot and sour soup (200) after this I had to leave so I couldn’t finish my meal
  • Dinner part 2: Steamed shrimp and vegetables with a little soy sauce (235)

Total: 785

I was able to order my Chinese meal without rice, resisted friends’ offerings of extra egg rolls and dumplings, and didn’t even put those little noodle things with my soup. Also, and most importantly, I ate only when I was really hungry today, and stopped when I was satisfied. My fear of hunger is something I’ve been trying to work on… I’ll post more about that at some point.

Anyway, I wish everyone a good week!
