Savoring Health

I am a 21-year-old college student. In spring of 2011 I found myself at the largest I have ever been: 5'3" and 165 lbs. At that moment I decided to start making changes.

TO DO: decrease my portions, eat better quality food, stay active

NEVER: deprive myself of enjoying life, lose weight in an unhealthy way

howtgotherswagback asked: Whenever I do a vegan detox, I found that soups are my best friend, and very good for this type of weather. Also green smoothies are fantastic for you. I usually would stock my pantry with brown rice, quinoa, 2 types of leafy greens, veggies, lentils, garbanzos, black beans, oatmeal, almond milk, lots of fresh veggies and fruits. My personal favorite thing ever is vegan bread topped with Justin's maple almond butter and a sliced banana. Also, google vegan recipes, or ask me for a couple xo

Thanks! Soups may not work for me because I’m not supposed to eat things cooked with oil most of the time (which is awful because I like to eat a lot of soup), but the other suggestions sound really good! I have googled some vegan recipes, but as a college student on a meal plan I don’t cook most of my meals so I kind of have to work with what I’m given.
